I am an avid Los Angeles Kings game attendee, and back in the day (See before the Staples center, a while before) I used to frequent lakers games at the Great Western Forum. Like many I would sometimes throw on some headphones and listen to the great game caller Chick Hearn as he masterfully called the game. It was a sad sad day for LA fans last night when the news broke of his passing.
Thank you Chick Hearn for the many years of great games.

condolensces @Thug,
Truly, sports has lost one of its' greatest broadcasters. And, two in one year, I might add. Jack Buck passed on earlier this summer.
Laker games will no doubt be odd come november seeing as how they've never had another broadcaster.
I feel your pain although I must admit no love, loyalty, or allegiance to the Lakers (just didn't want to you go all "Magic, in to Kareem, back to Magic, and finding Rambis all alone for the 16 foot jumper" on me)

Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

From the man who coined the phrase "slam dunk"...
...he'll be surely missed. Too bad though, he could have had a couple more years if not for the accident.
