1337 4 person parties

Post by Querschen »

I have opted for an elite 4 person blend in which to beat SoA/ToB this time since it is becoming simple and i rarely use all 6 people unless its a real tough fight. So far my party looks like this

Myself as a Half-Orc Fighter/Thief
Korgan
Viconia
Edwin

*****SPOILER******

I am torn on whether or not to take Sarevok in place of Korgan when Im offered him in ToB, because I like completing Watchers Keep prior to beating on Irenicus. Anyone have an opinion on which of these hardass warriors is better?( I bet you all do so lets hear em)

I'd wait until ToB to take Watcher's Keep, and take Sarevok over Korgan. Yeah, Korgan's cool but Sarevok's just flat-out better. Not to mention that Sarevok's a lot more important to the story.

Of course, since I always play with 6 members to maximize NPC interactions, I'd personally have no qualms about keeping them both. :D

Hmm, and as for my 4-person parties, if I were to limit myself to that:

Good Party:
Always take Imoen (excellent mage SPOILER: who can get even better in Watcher's Keep, good thief, important to the story)
Aerie if my PC is male, Anomen if my PC is female (romance + cleric powers)
If my PC is a Cavalier or an Inquisitor (damn, can't decide, they both rock), my 4th character is Valygar.
If my PC is a Stalker, my 4th character is Keldorn.

Evil party:
Male PC Assassin-14/Fighter
Korgan, SoA -> Sarevok, ToB
Edwin
Viconia (romance)

@Querschen: If you want a 4-people party, your choice is the best. Korgan, Edwin and Vic are the most powerful npc's in their field.
Since your pc is multiclass you'll lvl up a bit slower. have you considered making your pc a swashbuckler? Of course that means you'll lose backstab...

Korgan vs sarevok is fairly simple if you ask me

Whom can you equip better, based on there profs?
I mean, If I had crom and axe of unyelding but only say warblade for sarevok, then I would take korgan

Who do you like better?
The difference between them is small, sarevok has a small chance of deathbringer, but considering that Korgan is probably going to be dueling crom and something else hideous he will still be up there, not to mention having a few more hp's

Id say it really comes down to what equipment you have available and attitude

Yah it does come down to equipment, Korgan is going to end up with Axe of Unyielding (still my fave weapon) and the crom faeyr and prolly use Runehammer for undead bashing. Sarevok uses Silver Sword and I would probably take all Staff for Staff of the Ram or Halberds to use the Ravager....I know i wont need both, I think it will come down to if I have had enough of Korgan by then

@Coot I know I could have been a swash and dualed but I use my backstab a lot :)
