@Fable: I am not sure if faith healing is the best cure...I could think of other alternative therapies ...they would require the involvement of your wife, but she seems very supoortive, so that's not a problem :)

Is this something that can be discussed on the Web, without bringing on cries of censorship? Because if it's not, by all means, discuss it. :)

I heard that... :D

And I don't "do" Teletubbies...I have a strange fascination with them. Or, if you prefer, I don't loathe them with all my being as so many... :p

Gangsta rap rules!!!!!!!!!! :D

Speaking of politcal rap groups, there's also Public Enemy. All the recent gangsta rap is just one repetition of drugs and misogyny after another; it's getting very redundant actually. I stopped listening to anything right now, only the older rap artists like 2Pac, Notorious BIG, NWA, Slick Rick, etc. Eminem is a category of rap on his own, and the fact that he's white separates him even further from most rap artists. I like his music, delivery, and the way he narrates his story, with in-your-face, don't-give-a-f!ck, bare all style. It's quite entertaining if you can get past all the shock tactics he uses.

The fact that he's white is a gimmick to try and get people to think that he's different  ;)

Let's see... I have to admit that I also like musicals :o which could be something to do with the fact I had to sing/play various songs from them when I was at school, and my voice is probably best suited to that kind of music - they're what I can sing best. ;) Or at least, that is a convenient excuse :D

I don't especially like Disney movies, but I have a soft spot for The Lion King (it's sooo sad when Mufasa dies!) and The Jungle Book. :D

This one is so terrifying that I can't bring myself to post it visibly... I actually think MmmBop by Hanson is a great pop song.

Yes, Gansta rap, Broccoli and 80's synthesizer pop are all grrrrrrrreat!. I also must add Trance techno, acid house and "Die Krupps" ;)

Fantasy movies! Yes, I remember Krull, a real marvel :D . The dark Crystal, Willow, The princess bride, the list goes on. If it's Science fiction, it can get away with murder - I even saw "The lifepod" and didn't complain. :)

The Princess Bride rules!! :D

I am also more than capable of enjoying all kinds of terrible movies just because they're mindlessly entertaining. ;)

I should hate: It's Raining Men by the Weathergirls... but I just can't help heading for the dancefloor whenever it plays... :D And really, is knowing the lyrics to The One and Only by Chesney Hawkes such a sin? :D

ACiiiiiiiiiD! Smileys had a slightly different meaning back then... =)

Which reminds me - good old Arnold movies! Terminator doesn't count in this thread, since it actually isn't a movie one should hate but Commando, Red heat, Total recall, etc do. The one I thought of first was "Last action hero" where the bad guy has a smiley on his glass eye - "There is something rotten in the state of Denmark, and Hamlet is here to take out the trash!". Hilarious!

Since I dont dance (coordination? Whats that?), during the prom I only danced twice, once because my date really wanted me to do a slow dance, so who am I to reject that! :D And the other time during the song "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-A-Lot. I must say that this certainly isnt my favorite song but there are amusing words in it and it has a good beat.

I already said I was into the 80's but Im also into a lot of techno.

Juno Reactor
Dj Tiesto
Apoptygma Berzerk
Moby
Dj storm and Johnny Dangerously
Spahn Ranch

Most are pure techno style but Apoptygma Berzerk and Spahn Ranch are more Dark Wave/Industrial Techno. If anyone on the forum knows any/all of these bands I will be impressed (besides Moby-everybody knows who Moby is).

@Dottie No kidding? Whats your favorite song? What did you think of the most recent CD? I really liked their remakes for Fade to Black, and the remake of Nothing Else Matters. I loved most the songs off their Welcome to Earth CD. And I made a music video with the song "Non-Stop Violence" for my advanced film class. You can tell I am excited that I met someone who likes one band that is not that well known, that I also like. :D

I havnt heard their latest album, but the reviews i've got from people i trust says it sucked. :( Favourite song is difficult, probably non-stop violence or Burning heretic. Favourite album must be either Soli Deo Gloria or The Apopcalyptic Manifesto - cant make up my mind there either. ;)

Yes, I can tell. :D
