Your probably right, if for no other reason than you would have to pay to have the jaccuzi cleaned afterwords. You can never be too careful these days. :D

Hmm, if you shoot someone for trespassing, do you get arrested and sued? Or just arrested?

>snip>
We actually had this happen in our town. A guy shoot a man fleeing after robbing him, and he wound up being arrested himself. Laws suck, sometimes. If we reverted to the old days, alot of this pety theft would stop. :D

EDIT- if the robber drown in YOUR jacuzzi, then thier family would sue you for negligence(SP).

I'd countersue his surviving relatives for the emotional distress and scars from finding a dead man in my Jaccuzi.

They always say to use less force then that intended to be used against you from a would-be home invader. I personally keep a baseball bat in my room ( I play baseball ;) ), but I wouldn't hesitate to "scare" off the poor chap.

Living close to the beach, we often hear of people suing the local councils, one case being because of some moron who dived off the pier into the water unaware that tides tend to make the water shallower at times. I guess he thought the no diving signs was just the council's way of ruining everybodies fun. Hence the proposal to place parking metres on our beloved cafe strip adjacent the beach to cover any future acts of stupidity.

Where's that "I love America" thread again...? I too am highly amused by this, except for the bit where innocent people have to pay for being burgled. I think "despair" is the correct word for how I feel about this... :(

EDIT - Oh, and Tammy, in the US the law is that if an intruder steps over the threshold of your home, you are allowed to shoot them. Don't know what this says about mothers-in-law... :D
