A really dumb question

I'm almost embarassed to ask this since I've been posting to GB so long, but how do you insert an image into a post (not a link to an image, but the image itself)? It appears as though I need a webpage for it to point to?

Use the *IMG* code? Or do you mean how to get the image off your computer?

As far as i know in order to insert an image into a post you need a link to the image. the only difference from posting the link to the image is that if you place the link into the IMG tag the image will be visible into the post.

If you need to place an image from your comp, the only way is to insert it as an attachment but the pic will not show.

If you right click on the Internet image you want to insert and select properties, one of the tags in the pop up will refer to "address/URL". Copy and paste that into your post.
