Poems

Post by Craig »

Do you have any poems that you've made? I made some yesterday and today.

Joe had a talent to throw,
He threw to his mum,
He threw to his dad,
He threw until his siblings went mad.

Nick had some prowess with a pick,
Joe threw it to nick,
Nick threw it back,
Nick’s ice pick landed right in his back.

Moral of the poem? Don’t annoy people with weapons, or worse, you older brother or sister!

A silent woman rides through the glade,
A Cowled man draws a blade,
Although the gleam comes from the sun,
The lady’s time is nearly done.

A man dressed in shadow climbs in a tree,
A gnome creeps round she’s nearly free,
No one hears the whisper, faint,
An unnatural and unearthly taint.

The arrows fly, the pickaxe strikes,
Stealing any life neither likes,
But these righteous blows purge his hate,
Begins a malicious mans only fate.

His hood reveals a pale young man,
Finished are his fiendish plans,
His body drops, the sword doth clatter,
Does an evil life ever matter?

a couple I wrote a while ago...

Women and children pray that
Their loved ones will return.
In no-man's land the soldiers watch
Stinking houses burn.
The leaders play Monopoly
On the Battle-charts.
Stinking corpses fill the trenches
Masking the ramparts.

I look out of the window
Of our holiday place
Feel the chill and brutal wind
Lash at my face.

I look out at my snowman
Bound at the waist in white
He is a captive of his kingdom
Which revolted overnight.

It's too cold for anyone
And winter days are dim
So I snuggle into bed again
I don't want to freeze with him.

The fading line,
Between your heart and mine,
Each insult you throw,
Please don't answer no,

Each word closer to the mark,
"I don't love you," went straight to the heart,
It's time to say goodbye,
Why is the truth always a lie?
