Help!!!

NWN or Dungeon Siege.

I've just finished the trial version of DS, but is there a trial or demo of NWN?

Not yet, if I'm not mistaking.

And I'd go for NwN, but it's just what you find more fun to play.
NwN = Baldur's Gate
DS = Diablo

Though NwN will have some things DS doesn't have. Like the online playing community, for example Arguile; the constant online world.

I'n the end, it's your decision. NwN is pretty expencive, so think about it well.

I'd say NWN, but having played neither then I can't really give a great opinion.

I think Rob-hin summed it up pretty well. I'm getting NWN myself too.

Hey, look! Mr Flibble's back! How was London?

To answer your question: Just get both. And while you're at it, pick up Warcraft III, too. You know you're going to anyway . . . and don't forget that later this summer, you're going to gleefully shell out another $50 (USD) for Icewind Dale II, as well.

*another cheque wings it's way to the bank account of the High Lord* So do all three pay you in dribs and drabs or is it a lump sum and you fulfill a monthly quota? :D

Personally i am still playing Morrowind , it really is very good and HUGE! Also if you don't want more RPG'ing and you need a game to bring your entire computer to it's knees, try GTA3, it is great fun but my game usually runs at about 10 FPS before tweaking :eek:

Between those two, definitely NWN. DS is...horrible. Truly terrible. It doesn't even try to disguise just how linear it is...stay away. Yuk yuk yuk. If you really want to play DS, go get Diablo II and LOD. It's far better and you're not missing anything.

Just my opinion, you understand :D

And yes, another recommendation here for Morrowind - I seem to be ignoring it in my rush to play NWN recently though... :p

I am pretty picky about the computer games I pick up. The financial hit isn't as important to me as is the prospect of getting playing time. While $45-60 a pop isn't cheap, my wife and I typically run up a bill like that when we go to our favourite sushi bar, so that means one less trip out for dinner in a month when we (I) pick up a new computer game. No, since we only have one computer with enough horsepower to play new computer games, I have to schedule playing time around my wife (Acropolis, Civ3), my younger stepson (Rollercoaster Tycoon, Lords of Magic) and my older stepson (AOL Instant Messenger with his girlfriend in Myrtle Beach, surfing for porn). Plus, the younger boy is playing Little League this year and we're in the middle of the regional tournament, so for at least one more week, that's another drain on the little bit of free time I have. As a result, the only new games I'm going to get this summer are NWN (already have it), IWD2, and Robotech for Xbox.

My opinions:

NwN so far is great fun :)
DS is NOT Diablo, and the seamless graphics are the way forward - no loading scenes. It is linear, I admit, but not a bad game.

That is really complicated, i usually base my playing time around pool, friends and what's on TV :)

LOL @ surfing for porn, it's what the internet is there for :D

It is a lot like walking in the wilderness, it can be quite confusing at times, i guess it depends on what you want from a game :)

I think everyone has great credit . . . some bank wanted to send me a Visa card with a $100,000 limit (so I could charge a 1967 Corvette Roadster, a Toyota MR Spyder, two Jeep Wranglers, plus the insurance on all of them, then pay it back at 0% APR for one year). I'm neither filthy rich nor destitute, but I didn't borrow $100,000 for my mortgage; what the hell do I need with a line of credit that large?

By the way, send me Julie's email; someone named Kristen and her roommate Tanya are always sending me stuff, so maybe we can hook them up for a 3-way.
