weapon upgrades

how do i get weapon upgrades? i know some components are needed, where do i use things like adamantite, etc.?

possible spoilers

well first off, to find the place where you can forge items, go to the shop in Neverwinter core (the name escapes me at the moment) *shining knight perhaps???* anyway when here ask the owner if you can see his specialty goods. He'll give u a key to the backroom, go back here and the smithy will explain exactly how to forge items. (he'll even give u a book telling you exactly what he can make)

Book?

I just get a list of things he wants to know if I'm interested in. How do you get a book out of him?

And is there any place where there's a list of ingredients and what they're used for?

Like fairy dust + shortsword equals... or whatever.

yeah if you ask the guy at the forge to show you an example of some of the goods he will give you the book that says what reagents + weapons/armor you need to make something special.
