*lol* everybody here is at the "Roskilde festival".
and it is raining like hell.... it has been doing that for 2 days now....
and yes! i am just jealoux because i have to sit at home, while everybody else is having fun, and listening to cool music!
but it is SO expensive now, it costs allmost £90 (ca 980 kr)
and that is too much money for me. :(

I know the feeling, but I'm simply too lazy to get a job to pay for these things. I go to a coupla festivals/concerts a year but not much more (like there is anything to do here in Holland).

You might want to try living in Powys, then one gets an understanding for "nothing to do" i live 3 miles from the nearest village and the nearest town is 15-20 miles away...the wilderness ;)

@Azmodan: It always rains a lot at the Roskilde festival, isn't that a tradition? :D I've been there once, in my youth, it was fun but my parents weren't too happy by seeing me on TV...

I don't know you Björn (sorry, can't find the Danish ö on my keyboard), but I also think you should stop lurk and start posting! :D

How can that be boring? Aren't there lots of clubs and pubs and parties going on? Especially on a Friday night?

I'm about to move to the similar place this weekend. 4 of us are to live in a farmhouse, 7 miles from Exeter.

Having said that, Exeter is a "city", not a town, and it's in England. So, it's bit more civilization than... Wales. :p I'm not saying it's more "civilized", though... :D

Sounds like fun, what are you going to be doing? :)

So you don't still use horses and carts to move around? And budgies dying doesn't make everyone run for the door? :D

You know, barbecue, stargazing (I wanted to be an astronomer when I was younger. :) ), gardening (there's no garden here), bit of drink in the garden when there's sun... :)

Well, we have crip-crops everyday in fron of this house, but not with cart, except one traveler who lives on the side of a roundabout off A30. :D I've never seen a budgie...

So sitting inside playing scrabble since it will be cloudy and raining? :D

Seriously sounds like a great way to spend the weekend :)

As you do :D Apparently they used to take budgies in cages down into coal mines to warn them of when there was noxious fumes in the air, if the budgie's life ended prematurely it was a warning to the miners...i think that joke was perhaps a little morbid :o

With budgies? Rest of the world used canaries instead for the same purpose. It must be the Welsh thing, then... :p :D

No, it's not good way to spend weekend, because I'm moving house! Lots of packing and cleaning to do. :( I'm living amongst boxes and black bags at the moment... :( :D

Actually, I have to prepare for a conference in September, so I don't really mind if it rains. I've got lots of books and prints to read and type... :D

Your accommodation has been quite transient over the last few months, when do you envision settling down? :) At least you aren't living in black bags and boxes ;)

LMAO :D Not really a weekend away then though is it, more like a working holiday, although there is this theory which states most people end up returning from holiday more tired and stressed than they were before they left ;)

I'm hoping not living in a black bin bags or/and boxes, but we may end up camping a day or two. :( The current residents (undergrads!) will leave on Sunday, and will you trust the words of undergrads? ;) :D
