Skill scripting....

Post by average joe »

Many of you have an interest in working on AI scripting. I think this is a very important endeavour as it will make both computer controlled allies and enemies more fun to work with or against.

However, I myself am a bit disappointed in the skills department. Skills such as wilderness lore and gather information are sorely missed, and I can think of ways they could work in NwN. True, I'm a bit biased towards gather information, since I like to play bards, but wilderness lore is not something you would find me using very often. Nevertheless, I feel that our druid and ranger friends could make great use of it, so that is also included in my concerns. Basically, the skills that made the 'less-played' classes more interesting are what I'm interested in implementing, since they seem to have been widely left out in NwN.

As I already said, I've got ideas on how these feat could be implemented in NwN. Implemented, but not scripted. I don't even know if they could be scripted. But the point is, I think I'm going to try. And I'm sure there are other skills that I will also find lacking, that I might also wish to work on.

Do any of you have similar feelings? I have no idea if I'll be able to accomplish this, but I'm a decently intelligent kid, and have hope. :)

I also like to play ranger, so it would be great for me. Don't know exactly how to script it, but if you need any help......... ;)
