Spoiler Request -- Chapter 2

I'm hopeful someone out there can answer this. I've completed almost all of the quests in Chapter 2, but my henchmen's (Daelan Red Tiger's) quest remains incomplete.

Where is Daelan's mother's murderer? I know he's someone that has the notched axe, but no one I've met seems to fit that description. And I think I've looked almost everywhere! I'm presuming the person I need to find is supposed to be found before entering Luskan since the journal is wiped clean of quests when I do so. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I hate leaving loose ends behind.

Check out the Green Griffon Inn. The little competition it holds tends to attract lots of many different people.

Oops. I was afraid that that would be the answer.

Is there any way to finish this quest once the Competition is already complete? I'm starting to suspect that he was someone near the end of it that said something about attacking me, but then never did. I think he's still in that dungeon... somewhere.
