Toasting Tavern

(If I make any errors in my speech, please tell me)

Well, NWN has come out, and apparantly it has lived up to it's hype. In fact, I haven't seen as many positive reviews since BG 1 came out. I believe that despite it's obvious gearing towards immersion in multiplayer, it has one of the most intriguing single player games around. Thanks for the great game Black Isle.

On a personal note I would like to thank Black Isle, Bioware, and whatever other factions I missed for some of the greatest RPG's in the last five years (since Fallout 1). Their batting average has been incredible, and I don't think any CRPG's have rivaled their's for the combination of storyline, action, and epic tales.

*Raises Glass*....I would like to propose a toast, to the coming of NWN, the future coming of IWD 2, SW:KotOR, and Lionheart, and to Black Isle, who have managed to keep me glued to a computer for the last couple years of my life. To RPG'ing. To Black Isle........*Downs the champagne*

For another, less dramatic notice, please feel free to use this thread to Spam, echo my thoughts, or propose a toast of your own. Whether it's about your marriage (or divorce), your sport, or your computer, go ahead and make a toast....it's just more spamming material :D ! Cheers, and have fun. Feel free to drink without making a toast. By the way, I don't run this place, it's run by the wonderful people of GameBanshee.

Between NWN, AOW2, RTK7, and waiting for the axe to fall on SYM...I will not be buying any game as of yet.

List of priorities.

1. SYM
2. Games

Do you mean conquering SYM, and brainwashing the denizens so that we'll be doomed to work at Bubba Gump's Shrimp Factory? Or just spamming SYM.....To spam or not to spam...that is the question.

He may mean the bad news that Buck's referred to over the last week. I'm hoping it's no more than a required donation for membership. We'll see.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

As always Fable reads the dark depths of my mind..(Hey leave my Master Plan alone).

At the moment my funds are limited..so I have to decide which way to go..(Yes it's already decided I will go with SYM)

A game I can get at any time...(meaning more funds..more games)

A toast to Bioware? I'll drink to that! :D *drains murky glass of Silent Reflection, stares emptily into space for a moment...or an eternity, can't tell the difference...*

Yeah, I've been enjoying NWN. Despite my initial reservations, I like it. :D

@fable: a membership fee (hadn't heard the news)? Well, if it helps GB, I'm for it. :)

After all, if there's no GB - and subsequently no SYM - COMM shall have no Shining Citadel to spam from. :D

Hmm, didn't catch the membership thing, unless it was that post in the Annoucment forum, if so, then I' did catch it.

I'd be willing to stay, as long as it's not some exorbent, ludacris amount (though, Buck would never do that to us. Weasel maybe, but never Buck :P ).

If a donation-for-membership is made I won't be able to stay. I can't pay myself (being below 18), and there's no way in hell that my parents will agree to pay for something like this (they just don't understand those things).

I'm pretty disappointed with a lot of the popups we've been getting from our agencies lately. They're completely unrelated to our type of audience and some (like the one you mentioned) are just downright embarassing.

Having said that, I'm going to be announcing a serious change within a few days that will include both good *and* bad news for GameBanshee visitors. The only reason I mention this is because one change will be the removal of popups on the site. Stay tuned.

Well, whatever keeps GB alive.....donations, or some other thing, would be definitely more worthwhile than wandering the net aimlessly.

Noob

I am relativly horribly new. And I already notice the level of detail put into this piece of work by Buck. A fee wouldnt or shouldnt rather be called a fee, more of a due. Membership due's wouldn't be horrible, i already once in a while donate to penny arcade only because they provide me with a service for free. Now that I post to the banshee board/page and I want to throw out some gaming articles (I am a PC tech but aspiring PC Gaming journalist) I wouldn't think twice of aiding Buck in a Monetary tone.

And now for something horrible and lame.

Banshee to the Bone.
