Dilemma!


Well, I got expelled from the mage guild for one of two reasons; I stole Geldedirs(?) valuable soul stones while replacing a thingy for another thingy in a guild quest OR because I stole the master kit of Alchemy gear in Caldera...I guess it was the first one, but it took like a day or so for the guild to find out - and how did they know it was me...?

So, I left for Vivec and Trebonius told me to just wait a few weeks and it would blow over. My dilemma. though, is that I read at this forum something about joining the Telvanni.... How do I do this? No one I approach at the Telvanni Compound has the JOIN option or anything... (Is it their disposition?) Neither was I able to join at Sulipund (quest to make a guy join the guild).


I am an Evoker within the guild (guild status) and Trebonius said they always welcomed an evoker...


Anyone been expelled and thought about changing paths or anything?? I want to be evil!

Also, are there any penalties for joining more than one guild?? Could I join the thieves guild and the Fighters guild too w/o losing rep at the mage guild or anything??

You probably got caught while replacing that soul gem, just as you suspected. It's best to do it quickly, while the enchanter is walking downstairs. Tarrying is bad.

As for the Telvanni, I would suggest trying a different House, first, simply because the Telvanni are the hardest to get into, with the stiffest quests, and the most unpleasant people. If you're running a magely type who doesn't do heavy armor and big weapons, consider Hlaatu instead of Redoran.

I haven't seen any rep problems about guilds, but there is a quest for the Fighters Guild where you have to steal something from a Thieves Guild member. I have never done the quest but i suspect it might get you into some trouble...

Without spoiling too much, you'll end up doing far worse than stealing from the thieves guild if you join the fighters guild.

And there's no major consequences in joining multiple guilds. I'm the leader of the Mages guild (arch-mage), the head of great house telvanni (arch-magister), the head honcho of the fighters guild (master (I think)), ruler of the Moraq Tong (forgot what my title is), rank #8 of 10 in the temple and about half way through the imperial cult ranking system. The thieves guild didn't want me because I didn't meet their requirements and now that I think about it, I forgot to join the imperial legion. Bummer.

And yes, you will experience some problems with the different guilds' interests if you join so many.

Cheat?

player->PCclearExpelled Blades

clears blades expelled status... I dont know the name for the mages guild though, I've tried "mage" "mages" "mages guild" "mage's guild" "mages_guild" "mage's_guild" all to no avail.... anyone know the word to use?

I'm expelled also... waiting for "things to blow over" as the fat man says

There's a thieves guild quest where you have to kill a member of the Fighters guild... didn't hurt my faction with the fighters guild at all. I didn't kill anyone BUT that guy though... just killed him and recalled out.

OTTOMH, "magesguild" and "mage's" ? They're the obvious other options...

i cant stress this enough....
trev has by far the best loot....

temple has pretty good loot, but is second to trev loot, which is seriously great!!!!
