Corpus - how will I know?

Post by free_fall »

If I catch corpus, I assume an icon will show up in the effects status area. Is this correct?

But my question is, does it show up immediately? Or will I be surprised after several days in-game time to discover I've contracted it?

When you contact *any* disease, a line or two of text will show up on the main screen informing you of this.

Thanks. I don't recall any notifications to that effect while I was in the Corpusarium but I could have missed one in my running around down there. I know that has happened when I've caught other stuff and I assumed that would be the case with Corpus, too, but wanted to make sure.

Frankly, I wish there was some optional sound effect attached, just in case people missed the visual statement--not that this is easy to do; but it can happen if you're stuck in a battle and and wondering whether you'll make it through. ;)

You'll know...

Every day you sleep you'll get an annoying message saying your level of corpus disease has gotten worse. If you look at your stats you'll have a third of them in the red. Not to mention you'll have two pink icons in the bottom right corner with the rest of your spell effects. Look right next to your "Daedric Speed Shield - Speed +87" ... oh wait, you probably dont have one of those. ;)

I guess I'm safe then. No effect icon and have slept several times with no warnings. Whew!

(You mean next to my constant effect +30 willpower Helm?)
