I just received PS:T in the mail yesterday, and so far I am pretty much lovin' it. I especially love Morte's quasi-Italian mafia accent. I also love the introduction of descriptions and emotions in dialogue trees, which was totally new to me since I only played BG series and Icewind Dale, which did not have these things. I think the descriptions and emotions add more to the RP experience.
Anyways, I got the note by cutting open the zombie's mouth on the mortuary level where you wake up. It's the note that has the diagram that has instructions on folding the note into an earring. After I pressed on the "Use" button, I was given several choices. I've tried for five minutes and still could not get the note to fold into an earring. Everytime I run of out folding options, I am always left with either "unfold and start over" or "unfold and leave the note alone". I know this must be a trivial question to experienced players, but can anyone tell me how the fold the note into an earring?

Sorry, I DO remember that I had difficulties with that earring either, but I can't remember how I solved them. Though I doubt this is true for that earring issue, you should know that lots of problems in PS:T require certain stats to be solved. So don't be embarassed if some things don't work out immediately.
Thanks for the help.
I am also stuck on another quest in the Catacombs. I have just agreed to kill the Silent King for Many-As-One. I also did every side-quest in the Dead Nation, debunked Soego, learned how to speak to the dead, etc. However, I just can't find a way to get inside the Silent King's throne room. I've tried speaking with Stale Mary for about fifty times, and none of the dialogue choices reveals the hidden portal that's supposed to get me inside the throne room. Can someone help me?

this begins as a quest from many-as-one to discover the secret of the silent king. after you get the quest from the rats, "head back to The Dead Nations. I don't think there's any other way to do this other than killing the Royal Guards who protect the entrance to the throne room. You'll also have to knock off
Hargrimm as he carries the Key. I would suggest attacking Hargrimm first as he is the only spellcaster you'll face here.
If your Charisma is high enough, Stale Mary will open a portal to the Throne Room of The Silent King."

@seraphim:
My Charisma is 21, so I guess it should be high enough, but the option to open a portal shows up nowhere in dialogues with Stale Mary. I also tried to kill the guards but I still can't get in the throne. However, I did not know that Hagrimm had the key, so thanks for the info.
