Theme Parties

If you have an interesting theme party (eg.not all evil or all good), then post it here and tell us about it!
I've been thinking of trying a CAPTAIN PLANET party which goes like this:

EARTH - Korgan (he's a dwarf...no need to explain)

FIRE - Edwin (hot-tempered, mentions his magic being a purifying fire to a certain NPC, high force of destruction)

WATER - not sure about this one, either Viconia or Keldorn I think.

AIR - Aerie (duh...she's an avariel)

HEART - Mazzy (big heart, small body)

CAPTAIN PLANET - ME (an Avenger, a druid who fights those who would harm nature + can summon the powers of all the above elements)

What do you all think? I haven't tried it yet because I can't see it working (eg. Korgan with Aerie) but I find it to be quite an interesting adapted theme.
Any cool ideas out there?

"By your powers combined, I am CAPTAIN PLANET!"

Uh...it's a famous cartoon I used to watch when I was younger where there are 5 kids each gifted with a magical ring that gives them power related a particular element (which I have listed above). They can then combine these powers to form Captain Planet who is like a flying, elemental God devoted to protecting the environment.

It makes a good theme in my opinion.

Nope, never heard of it...was it American, Japanese...? The four elements idea is quite nice though, maybe it would work better with generated characters rather than npcs as you could tailor them more to their respective element.

Gnomethingy had a nice idea for a theme party on the ToB board, based on the Monkey Magic tv show.

It was an american cartoon, I think I saw it a couple of times when I was really young but I dont remember anything about it

Yes! I know about captain planet....... and its not bad or cheesy enough for me to enjoy

What about the d&d cartoooooon? (PRESTO wooo wooo)

and of course, the obligatory monkey magic party... I beleive theres a topic filled with about fifty million posts on a lotr party

This is a good post, if more people could remember cheesy cartoons they watched as a kid the world world would be a better place

OMG! Isnt one of the people from capen planet called wheeler? Thats the stupidest name ive ever heard... no, its the best possibly as good a presto

What aboot the bad uns though? You have to have a suitable counter party, stocked with the cheesy villains of the series or it dun work

You gotta do stats on multiplayer npcs... so bored strange ppl like me can pour over them and add our two cents

Hey look at it this way... you already got a ring of earth, air and fire control.. all you needs to do is make a water control one and heart control? Sounds like a tablet for preventing palpatations

Btw.. the monkey magic idea was

Tripidaka : Ln, m, cleric
Monkey : cn, m, kensai / mage ***** in staff
Sandy : lg, m, Kensai ***** in halberd
Pigsy : cn, m, Kensai ***** in spear

Very funny, easy to win with.. three kensais and they all end up wth +6 weapons

Anyway...

Ninja Turtles. Make Kensais all with 5 stars in the respective weapons... Nunchakus, though... Hm...

Custom-made party with the characters from Friends.... Die Phoebe die! Ha.

Hm... "hello Mr. Pink, hello Mr. Brown"... Reservoir Dogs...

Need sleep.... waaagh....
