Unoriginal Parties

Post by gnomethingy »

I noticed that forum with a lotr based party, and posted something myself about a monkey magic based party

This idea is suitably strange, I find it interesting... does anyone else have any ideas for a tv show / book / movie based party they would like to share?

btw, pls include class / alighment so ppl can argue about it :) lol

You could always make a party based upon the old Dungeons and Dragons cartoon, the one that Ribald has those two pictures of in the back of the Adventurers Mart. I don't remember all of their names and I'm not sure what you'd do for the "acrobat" one, though. Maybe a monk, except she had a magic staff and monks can't use staves.

Or you could create Drizzt and co. and take them though the game, complete with the real Drizzt and co.s belongings. :D Of course, you'd be forced to kill the real Drizzt...Heh heh heh...

I remember a d&d cartoon , wasnt there some green yoda like midget guy that gave them all advice? I cant remember anything else but.. or maybe there was this big guy and he had all this stuff and some thing killed him at the end or somesuch

Ahh my brain no work proper

Im trying to remember dodgy old bbc cartoons for party inspiration... hmmm how about Mr spoon,

Hard to make a bad guy party from tv or blah blah,,, ussually only have 1 henchman like xzar (go xzar)

before this nonsensical post devolves into some sort of anti elf and harper rant or Elf harpers,,, THE WORST KIND!!!... ill go

That was the dungeon master, he was such a laugh. :D
The D&D cartoon party had a male ranger called Hank, a female thief whose name I forget, a barbarian who was a kid called Bobby, and who was the thief's brother, a male wizard, called Presto if you can beliieve it, a male cavalier called Eric who was the coward of the group, and a female acrobat(?) whose name I forget.

I hate the Harpers.

There was and BG2 somehow ended up being the official game of the movie IIRC...oh dear.

Never saw it, but I think the girl from 'Ghost World' and 'American Beauty' was in it...if she was, what was she thinking?

Ha! This is the best thing ive ever seen / read

Apat from theiving gypsy folk, Presto how? I ask you.... all the other names, so regular and boring and the whole thing is so garbage and wack, yet strangely entertaining at the same time. kind of like thundercats

I can spend hours, litteraly hours for days thinking about cartoons and tv shows I watched when I was younger, and while I dont think I ever saw the d&d cartoon I dont care! Theres a guy called PRESTO in it

PRESTO! YEEEEEHAW,,,,, that will be the name of my Demogorgnome

Check here for more information on the D&D cartoon. I'd forgotten just how corny it was in the ten or so years since I last saw it. The 80's were a bad time for TV, even if they did have the original Transformers series.

Your loss, that was a good series. I grew up watching that show, along with the Muppets and Monkey Magic.

Megatron was the Decepticon's leader
"No one expects the Brazilian Inquisitor!"
Abazigal: "Oh my god! They killed Yaga-Shura!"
Sendai: "You bastards!"

Megatron got replaced by Galvatron in the movie, but the Transformers had some classic names, it's true.

Never noticed the to pictures, their great.
Are they always the same? (Hank & Bobby)

The team should be

-Ranger + bow
-Barbarian + Club
-Cavalier+ Shield (and sword)
-Kensai + staff (acrobat)
-Thief + cloack of invisibility (should edit this one)
-Mage

Did i forget one?
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.
