Item Generator

Having played through the game several times now, I'm looking for something new and exciting. I want to play as Artemis Entreri, but I can't find an adequate dagger in the game. I'd like to make my own, but I can't find an item generator. I remember having one for BG, but I've either deleted it or just can't find it. So, is there an item generator out there, or better yet, a list of pre-made weapons that I can import. I figure the new sword Artemis just got (Caron's Claw) is probably best represented by Blackrazor, but his signature weapon is still his dagger and I wouldn't want to play as him unless I can create it or find an adequate substitute.

you was originally meant to meet artemis entreri in the game..his creature file and weapon is in there, though only his dagger

+4 dagger, 15% chance of draining 1 level from target per hit..blackrazor is much better than that

I know Blackrazor is better. I'm not trying to create the most powerful character, just the most acurate one. According to every stat page I can find on him, Entreri has 13 strength. I'll be very proud of myself if I go through with that. If I was after a powerful character, I'd have Artemis weild Crom Faeyr, but that is WAY out of line. Salvatore might kill me. (not to mention Wulfgar)

You said his weapon has a 15% chance to drain one level. Does it add any health? He uses it primarily to restore his own health. I'd still like to know if there is an item generator out there so I can maybe modify one of the weapons.

Lifestealer is just the weapon Artemis uses in BG2. The description is nothing like his weapon really should be.

taken straigth from the game..and it uses the image of the soultaker dagger from tosc

This dagger weighs heavily in your hand, and is warm to the touch. Merely having it on your person makes you feel uneasy for some reason. The gem mounted in the hilt seems to have an inner light of some sort, though how it can have such illuminations and still be so deathly black at its core, you do not know.

if u want the properties of the REAL entreri dagger, then the one char file that comes with the game is wrong.

its a "defender vampiric dagger"
+4 thaco
-2 ac
Damage 1d6 +4
and the damage u give is the healing u recieve. (i.e. 8 points of damage at target = 8hit points of healing the wielder)
and it glows white in darkness.
entreri uses his dagger sometimes on poor beggars on the street to heal himself.

so its a pretty e z item to make. His other item is a

Sabre+2 +2biting
thaco +2
1d8+2 +2biting damage
speed factor 2

he also wears a cloak of the bat (i h8 him for that cuz he fell of a cliff 200 feet high and transformed into a bat)
some ppl say after that event he has a cloak of protection+2 (i cannot be sure about it)

that is all e z to make..
if u want to start working on Charon's Claw thou...
that item is in my opinion the most powerful item every created in Faerun. Together with the Gauntlets that can suck and redirect magic at caster, it s the Mage's Bane.

i tried to create the item, but u simply cant do it because of the fact that u cannot make Infinity Engine Editor make it so that the sword is only usable with the gauntlet. In reality it would burn and rip of ur face skin leaving ur skeletal form if u grab the hilt of Charon' Claw without the Gauntlet.
So i gave up my idea of forging the powerful weapon, cuz i dont wanna wield it without the gauntlets..

if u ever find a way to force the user to use the gauntlet if they wanna use the sword, then let me know and i ll make the weapon in a few days.

just make it as a combined item, sword+glove in one

The stats that I got say that Entreri has a ring of protection +2 and a cloak of protection +4. If I'm not mistaken, the game will not allow you to wear two items of protection, so I'll probably have his cloak be that of non-detection. As far as Charon's Claw, I've been given that some thought too. Have the sword deal damage to it's wielder and then have the gauntlets grant protection from that damage. I figure Charon's Claw deals fire and acid damage as well as domination. Just make the gauntlets give protection to those types of damage. That shouldn't be hard since the glove absorbs all magic as it is. Perhaps a spell of turning that repels 50+ levels or something. You obviously can't redirect that damage at the sword, so you're right, it will be tough. The sword is also probably cursed so it's wielder can't drop it once he picks it up. The gauntlets could have a remove curse ability. As far as the damage the sword deals, 1d10 +4 +2 fire, +2 acid is what I'm thinking. Give a %20 chance of giving out disease or poison, or something devastating. As far as simulating the ash wall it can produce, give it a %20 cahnce of blinding opponent for 1d4 rounds and give it an AC bonus. I've never used the item generator before, so I'll see what's possible. Thanks all for your help.
