First of all, welcome to the GB forums, there are many awesome ppl online, I just warn you to keep your distance from the Speak your mind forums, unless you, like the majority of us, are stark raving mad too!!!

As for the ending, ya, Minsc's is pretty good, but my favourite is Keldorns! That guy rocked and I was super glad to see him taken up to continue his service to Torm.

The saddest one was Cernd. Poor guy! :(

I guess my favorite ending was Viconia´s if you romanced her. So very tragic...sigh :)

Keldorn's and Korgan's.

You know, having read through them all, I think that the Korgan and Romanced Viconia are tied together. You vanished to get revenge on the Drow, and Korgan was battling them and disapeared, though legends persist of both of you...

Also Valygar I was happy for!

Keldorn's. I was so happy for him.

And since I haven't played the game so many times...

@ Obsidian ... what happened to Valygar?

TIA

Cheers

Jan Jansen!

:D Knife-wielding monkies! :D

Of lying epitaths their secrets keep,
At last incapable of further harm
The lewd forefathers of the village sleep.

I'd have to say Jan Jansen for its humour value

"When you have that many monkies anything is possible"

But I still very much liked Romanced Viconia or Sarevok for their unparalled sadness.
Or unromanced Anomen for finally becoming what he wanted to be.

My 3 most hated ends are Unromanced Aerie, Imoen and Keldorn.

I didn't like Keldorns ending at all. He had done enough for Helm and his last sacrifice shouldn't have been necessary. He had earned his place at Helms side anyway.
Aerie because its just so pathetic, Imoens because its so lame. I mean, she and the main character was unseperable. Two indestructible towers of doom!

But anyway I get really sad whenever I contemplate the endings of a story. I am such a fan for never ending stories. I mean, I am just not happy with "and they lived happily ever after". That means that I won't experience the rest of their story. I mean I felt depressed for half a week after I finished ToB just because I knew that I wouldn't get another adventure with my favorite character, the child of Bhaal.

(Spoilers)

I guess I'm in the minority, because I absolutely HATE the romanced Viconia ending. First of all, I think it's kind of stupid....just how DO you successfully poison a 30+ level cleric????? What, she didn't memorize a heal that day??? (By the end of ToB she carried SIX at a time!!)

Also, I have to assume Lolth is a grease stain on the floor of whatever abyssal plain she USED to rule as soon as this bit happens. I don't know about the rest of the Viccy romancers, but I know my 38th level Undead Hunter IMMEDIATELY re-formed his adventuring group, journeyed to the Abyss, found that big fat spider, and pulled all eight of her legs off. I mean, I may have given up my "divine spark", but I did NOT give up Carsomyr (+6) ;)

My favorite, of course, is Jan and the knife wielding monkeys. ;)
But long ago he went away
And where he dwelleth, none can say.
For into darkness fell his star
In Mordor, where the shadows are.

You know....Lloth is the queen of spiders and the best poisoner there is after Talona. A quickworking poison that confuses the mind would probally be her style against clerics.

@Cybot, Keldorn serves Torm, not helm. Anomen served Helm.

And it wasnt a bad thing being taken up, it would be an honour for Keldorn. Think about it. Keldorn is the only one of your adventuring party you could still chill with

Ya, I could see you wreaking some terrible vengeance on people who killed your friends.

As for Valygar, he settled down, become angry at the corruption in Athlatka, and became the Chief Inspector for crimes etc. He got married, had a kid, the kid later become a member of the cowled wizards and lead the redemption of the evil villains into heroes of the realms.
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.

I agree that hero would of made Lolth pay for killing my romance (which was Aerie but my point still stands). My level 30 some-odd archer would of placed quite a few arrows in her for that one and if it doesn't work i'll destroy all of her worshipers. In DnD if a god has nobody to worship them they no longer exist and if destroying Usa Nastha was that easy the entire Underdark couldn't be too hard.

Personnally I really enjoyed Jan and Keldorns endings.
Real commanders display their battle skill on the front lines.

I've got something to say to you dwarven bigots: "Harglukkin phuul naubol jhal waela rothen ulu ussa!"

He died a natural death as a dagger in the chest naturally kills you.

Romance aerie ending and keldorn ending are the best.

Unromanced Jaheiras the one I liked least.

Sarevok’s ending rocks. He could get his own spin-off with an intro like that. A foreigner with a dark troubled past in strange new land (Kara-Tur) searching for an absolution that will never come. Epic stuff.
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
