I've got a glass which is kinda sentimental to me. A couple days ago it got cracked due the hot coffe I poured in it. I know it's kinda silly to ask this but due the sentimental value, is Epoxy glue (ya know.... those 2 tube mixed ones and says bonds in 5 mins) have any toxic effects on drinks (the glass mostly contains tea or coffe - my 'regular drink' ) ?
I don't think that glueing a glass together with Epoxy will cause any toxic effects on drinks in that glass once the glue is cured. Since Epoxy is often recommended for gluing glass and porcelain together, I don't think any toxic effects have been demonstrated.

Go ahead and eat the glue if you want...but once the two bits are mixed together, they are DEADLY TOXIC!!!!! [gothic organs in background]. It's alright when it's dry though...just make sure you don't put too much on...

Like most compounds, Epoxy is only harmful if you intake too much of it. It isn't like lead-plating ceramics. Epoxy is a compound that sticks to what it's glued to. It's not going to stick to your morning Folgers.

I don't believe epoxy will withstand microwave conditions, but you might check on this.

The Epoxy usually used for glass etc, cannot withstand temperatures over 140C. Since a microwave heats water, and this heating is not in a regular fashion, water (or rather, at that time steam) in a cup in a microwave might well develop points hotter than this, so I wouldn't use this glass in a micro.
