Favourite Chewing Gum Container Survey

Post by Willa_Ly »

This is a survey for my CSIRO Silver CREST science porject.
If you would take part and only vote once, I would be very greatful.

Listing your choice from most favourite to most hated would be extremly helpful. This is a survey on how they package the gum, the quality of packaging, if it falls out continuously etc.

List from:

a) Allens Minties type wrapping. (Traditional lolly wrapping)

b) Wrigley's Eclispe type packaging. (Includes "Vapors" chewing gum)

c) Wrigley's Extras "Stick type", thin and long, pack of seven.

d) Hubba Bubba packaging

e) Tic Tac containers

f) PK and Juicy Fruit type packaging. (Pellets, including Airwaves)

g) Allen's Cool Mint type packaging. (Balls of Mint Lollies just in a plastic package).

Thank you to all those participating properly.
:D

This is another weird topic. Good job, @Willa!

Allens Minties type wrapping. (Traditional lolly wrapping) would be my preference.

Ok, well I'm confused already... :D My preference is the pellets type... but that is how Wrigley's Extra are packaged (and Juicy Fruit is the stick type)... But I think that would be f ;)

since i'm not from US/UK i have no idea about those packing types...

the way extra's are putted in, 10 in a pack easy to squish couple out...

hate the way the put those 5 in a pack things, don't like that...

btw in finland we have pouches where is about 25-100(obviosuly different size pouches) those are handy too i'm sure you ppl have those too, just wondering why that type isn't listed...

Me too, it was the best for blowing bubbles :D But since I don't tend to choose gum for its bubble-blowing abilities anymore... ;) They still have it everywhere over here though.

But thats the reason to have bubble gum. To impress people with your bubble blowing technique. :p

However to stay on topic, the tic tac containers are cool. And that decision to release an orange container, brillant marketing move. :D

I'm being serious here, I don't know anyone who buys the clear container ones.

It's between these three, but I think it's gonna have to be the Hubba Bubba that gets my vote...

SMINTS. Smints have such incredibly stylish contaners that people are willing to pay 90p for a packet of three, and they're the size of a very very small pyramid. Anyway, that's irrelevent. As far as gum goes...I'd go for the seven sticks in a pack, each wrapped in foil. I love the way you can take them out slowly, and crumple them against your tongue, before taking one big chew and winking at he camera - 'MMmmmmm...Always Minty Fresh!'

i love the mint skittles packaging - those little boxes where the end folds out and those little triangle things at either side, and there magically appears a skittle-dispensing hole...

the long individual foil wrapped gum thingies are nice, but those jucilicious hubba bubba blocks get my vote [drools] :)

Yes, but that isn't the reason to have chewing gum, cos you can't blow decent bubbles with that :p

@frogus smints are quite cool... but if this is just going to be a general mint conversation, polos rule :D

I'm going to ignore that smiley...

You have no idea how many times I've bought "low-grade" gum only to realise that you can't blow bubbles with them.
