Anyone read "We were soldiers once... and young" or remember some comments of mine from a while back?

Dear Friends,

I have just read and signed the online petition:

"Presidential Medal of Freedom"

hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition
service, at:

PetitionOnline

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider signing yourself.

Best wishes,

Michael.

Surprising that this kind of petition even needs to be sent around. Sheesh--we honor politicians, sports figures and industrialists, but can't even give a medal of honor to a genuine hero? Sure, I'll sign.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Heroes don't need medals, but accept them if offered. My signature is placed too.
