Greenstone amulet problem

Post by Dumbass »

I have recently discovered a problem and was wondering if anyone could help me out. I was in the underdark area and was about to clear out the illithids. My char and Keldorn were wearing greenstone amulets.

I finished the illithids and the rest of the underdark section, came up to teh surface and now I find that I have lost the 'mindshield' icon from both chars, and that I can no longer remove the items (message is This item cannot be removed)

I did install TOB during my underdark journey, but, this had no obvious effects on the amulets until my characters came back up to the surface.

What can I do?

I think ToB don't support the amulets you get from Mord. swords.
It appened to me too, but the mind shield remained through all SoA (WK included) although I couldn't remove them.
Now in ToB (Saradush) the icon and the effects of mind shield are vanished; I think I will use SK just to remove them.

Shadowkeeper?

How would I go about using Shadowkeeper to remove them? I don't have it installed and I'm relatively new to all this.

First, download Shadow Keeper - it comes as a ZIP file, so you'll need to unzip it - there are several files in the ZIP file, make sure that they all go into the same folder.

Run the ShadowKeeper.exe file and wait for the program to load. Click on Open Saved Game - with from the File menu bar or the icon. Select your savegame from the list and wait for Shadow Keeper to load it.

Use the scroll bar below the portrait (of the new window that appear) to find the portrait of the character that have the Amulet on. Click on the Inventory tab along the top of the window and scroll down until you see the amulet, select it and click on the Clear Item button at the bottom of the window. Do the same for every other character who have the amulet on.

After that, simply Save the savegame - using the icon or from the File menu. Remember the name you saved it as, start the game and load your newly made savegame.
