Dottie, that sounds unnervingly like "Pitch Black".

@Frogus, ah! We we're just about to board this lovely spaceship here, to escape apocalypse. Comming?

Pitch Black :rolleyes: :( I was hoping to never hear that movie title again.

I'm on board, I'm on the ship, I wanna fire the ray gunz.

I'm seeing our future developing into a somewhat peaceful existence, but it would be a peace derived from the use of drugs, in a very "Brave New World" sort of way.

From there, people will eventually damage and ruin the world to such an extent, where we will no longer be "technilogically" advanced, but rather trying to redevelop advances we have made.

@Gruntboy: Holly, with IQ of 6,000... well, numbers with 6 in it anyway. :D

On the second thought, Rimmer would be good as well. The most annoying, smeg-headed hologram in the whole universe. :p

@Gruntboy: cool topic! :)

In my "anatomy of a Gambanshee member" I have a quote from NASA: "What makes us the most intelligent species on Earth is knowing that we must leave it to survive." I believe that. I guess you could say I am more of a Trekkie than a Blade Runner (though I own the latter DVD and not the former!). We will live, and we will create far more beauty in this world and in other worlds than would have existed had we never existed, or had we destroyed ourselves.

I just wish we would get a move on! I wanna see spaceships, man! ;) :cool:

Excellent! Always love an adventure, me! But 'Comming'? I think I'll leave that to Weasel and his Holy Warriors, and if you meant 'coming'...Anyway I'm whittering, who are these muscular pantless fellows?

I envision that Japan, China, Korea and Russia will lead the new multipolar world as the each struggle to preserve the Earth's and fight over population and pollution. Technology would be geared towards resource development and the future.

(Pretty boring Eh?) :D

The future that I hope for is a vision more along the lines of 1950-era pulp SF utopias -- hover cars, food pills, people movers, scientists held in high esteem, space colonies, atomic generators, robot servants, glass-domed houses, silver clothing, weather control... etc... ;)

Why were the men always fully dressed in the silver clothing but the women practically naked? I mean, don't they get cold? :D :)
That there; exactly the kinda diversion we coulda used.

Being cold is a sacrifice they have to make for the good of the future, I thought everyone had understood that basic fact.

Likwise women in fantsy settings have always known that the smaller area armour covers, the more effective it becomes.
