In my last go round on the game I used SK to switch Aerie to Inquisitor. I upper her str to 14 for 2h sword and chr to 17 for paladin minimum and dropped int by that amount just to keep total points the same -- I debated having her just have the 12 str min but it wouldnt make much sense for her to have proficiency in 2hs when she wasnt physically up to wielding it. Obviously she got dibs on the hill giant girdle as soon as it was available. The foritude girdle wasnt much use actually since I rested very rarely so she spent most of the game with distinctly non-tankish hit points but that made her interesting and fun, and given the usefulness of inquisitors against mages she was easily pulling her weight anyway. The mental image of her swinging around the 2hs (or being swung around by it) plus the "Oh My" voice over when she crits for 50-60+ with Carsomyr was pretty funny. It also was pretty amusing to see Vic "turning" Aerie by accident sometimes, apparently she was scared Viccy was gonna make more mean comments about the wings.
I was wondering if anyone else has modified NPCs that they really enjoyed. I'm thinking of playing again with a small group and want to try out at least one more changed NPC.

if i would do some changes they will look like:
mazzy -> undead hunter:
she acts more like a paladin than a fighter. str -1, dex +1
anomen -> chevalier
after passing his test.
aerie -> mage or sorceress
with lower wisdom
minsc -> barbarian
cant see why he should be a ranger. ok, he has boo. but his wisdom isn't like a ranger's. one point less in wis and int but two points more in constitution.
imoen -> sorceress or higher thief level in the t/m dual
higher thief level because she never used magic in bg1.
nalia -> thief / cleric dual
-5 int, +5 wis. cleric because she wants to help people.
hmm, maybe i ll start over using sk
