Mulholland Dr.

Could anyone explain this one to me?

I've just seen it on DVD- and I have no idea how all the stories connect with one another.

Here are Divid Lynch's 'Ten clues to unlocking this thriller':

1. Pay particular attention in the beginning of the film: at least two clues are revealed before the credits.

2. Notice appearances of the red lampshade.

3. Can you hear the title of the film that Adam Kesher is auditioning actresses for? Is it mentioned again?

4. An accident is a terrible event... notice the location of the accident.

5. Who gives a key, and why?

6. Notice the robe, the ashtray, the coffee cup.

7. What is felt, realized and gathered at the club Silencio?

8. Did talent alone help Camilla?

9. Notice the occurrences surrounding the man behind Winkies.

10. Where is Aunt Ruth?

Now- I think I understand some of the clues- but could someone explain to me how they tie into the story? since I noticed all the items, and I tried to track them in the movie, but I think I might have missed them.

Also, who is the man behind Winkies? how do the guy and his psyciatrist tie into it?

While we're back into 'movies that make you go...huh?' territory, just thought I'd ask about 'The Ninth Gate', the incomprehensible-but-not-incomprehensible-enought-to-avoid-being-**** Polanski movie with Jonny Depp. What was that all about?

While I have yet to see the movie, I am reliably informed that the three trademarks of David Lynch are

1) Weird sex
2) Characters changing actors in mid scene, and the like.
3) Something I have forgotten. If I think of it, I'll post it.

also, he will never win an oscar, because they hate him.

This leads me to believe that the films are not supposed to be understood. The point is the uber hip-ness that comes from letting it be known that you are a David Lynch fan
Your knowledge is impressive
And your argument is good
But I am the resurrection, babe,
And you're standing on my foot!

1) there's some of that- same sex relations.

2) Its the most striking part of the movie- and it appeares to be the point of the movie.

3) There's tuns of that- misunderstandings and forgetfullness, that is. :D :p
