Why is it that I feel so old again at 15?!?
It's pretty easy, I mean just go kill a dragon, get laid.

"I never thought it would end like this,
just because I got no ****,
I'll shave my legs and wear a bra,
I'll even cut my p**** off for you."
-Reel Big Fish

Now that's a love poem if I ever heard one.

Because you are.

I'll never forget once saying at about the age of 13, "When I was young," in front of my mother and a group of her friends, who laughed wildly and heckled me for it. :( Of course, embarassment was small change for her, but the important thing is that feelings are real, no matter the age or experience of the person. And there is a very looong distance between childhood and into the teens, a biological hurdle that's just as heavy as setting off for a new profession in an unexplored country.

I hear you, and I empathize. :)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I have to agree with Fable here, I have never felt so old as when I was 15, and I'm more than double that age now. I believe the transition from childhood to adulthood makes the teen years feel limited in a certain way that makes it feel like you have "done it all". At least it was that way for me, like a vacuum between no longer appreciating life as it was when you were a kid, but not yet able to image what adult life would hold.
