Trademeet Guards have gone hostile!

Post by Dralikithas »

Argh!

At first it was only the guards on the right of the map, then I ran away from them over to the left, and as soon as the guard there saw the other guard, he turned hostile as well!!

If I kill all the attacking guards I drop 6 rep. points, this is something I do not want to do!

Is there any way I can make them not hostile?

Thanks in advance,
Dral

Hmm, sounds like you have done something to trigger the guards.

Can't help you much without details, buddy, my only suggestion is to reload from a prior saved game and see what happens.

Cheers.

EDIT: Wait a minute, Dral, did you say Trademeet? How did you get to Trademeet (an SoA area) in ToB? If that is true, this question is in the wrong forum.

Or do you mean Amkethran? The soldiers there are supposed to turn hostile when you first arrive. Can you kindly confirm the area you are in?

Yeah - Trademeet...

I wasn't sure if I should post in here or in the SoA forum, seeing as I have ToB installed I thought I should post here incase something had been changed yanno?

Yup, I am afraid you need to post this in the SoA forum, notwithstanding the fact that you have ToB installed.

I am sure the moderators will move this thread over anyway.

Just to clarify, any and every question related to SoA should be posted in SoA forum and the same applies here.

Cheers.

Done. :)

Aaah...

Thanks for clarifying that guys...

So.. anyone able to help me?

Is there a period of time that a person'll be hostile before returning to normal, or is it likely to be permanent?

Can i use CluaConsole to fiddle with any specific variables that'll turn them back to neutral?

And if not, can anyone tell me how I can change my rep back up to 11 if I do end up having to kill these guys? Normally I wouldn't fiddle with anything like that, but I think it's massively unfair to have to take such a rep hit for nothing...

Ta,
Dral.

Area Effect Spells

Did you by any chance shoot off a fireball, cloudkill, or some other area effect spell? If you damage a guard everyone will go hostile.

You must have done something to make the guards go hostile; such as accidentally hitting them with an area effect spell (as PosterX said). There is no way that I know of to turn them back to neutral - unless you have a previous save file.

You can either lure them to an isolate part of the map and then kill them all - so that the town people won't turn hostile as well, since you are killing their guards. And then save the game and use Shadow Keeper to turn your rep back to what it was. Or - since you have CLUAConsole active - put your cursor over the guard, and press CTRL + Y, and repeat for all of the other hostile guards. The guards die and you don't suffer any reputation lost for killing them.

Sabre!! You're a bloody champion!!

Thank you! I'm neck-deep in Athkatla quests at the moment, but I'll go over to Trademeet asap and see if that works..

Thank you all.

Dral

Edit: It worked! Thank you!! The guildmistress seems to have dissapeared, but I was able to talk to everyone and finish some quests without having to worry about the guards.. Thank You!
