Party Selection Help

I'm wanting to try an Elvish Mage/Cleric (No, I don't like Aerie). What would a good combination of NPCs be for my party? I was thinking changing Minsc to an archer (I like Minsc's personality and archers are fun/good), but the rest of the party I have no clue. I'm not really interested in romances (Is there much of a point really?)

I'll give a quick rundown of my opinion of NPCs.. just for the heck of it.

Imoen - Not too bad, I don' t dislike her, but she's not one of my favorites.
Minsc - Funny, great personality, wouldn't mind changing his class to archer so he's more useful.
Jaheria - Nice character, not too annoying.
Korgan - Never used him actually, heard he's pretty good.
Aerie - Not too annoying, but I'm a cleric/mage... maybe change her to a sorcerer? Or me to a sorcerer?

Jan - Woohoo, great lil' gnome

Edwin - only used him once and he was rather funny

Viconia - Not bad, only used her once..
Keldorn - Doesn't talk a whole lot either, or at least in the parties I've had him in.
Valygar - Doesn't talk much.. so he's not a favorite of mine..
Mazzy - Never used her before...

Yoshimo - ... Uh, not worth my time

Nalia - Annoying and whiny, no thanks..
Anomen - Never used him, but he's always seemed rather stuck up...
Haer'Dalis - raven.. argh, annoying. Rather not..
Cernd - No

And I don't have ToB yet, so the "other guy" is out for now. I do have the level 50 xp rules in, so I can go past the XP cap in SOA.

Basically.. what would a good party be for a Sorcerer or a Mage/Cleric?

Here are my recommendations:

You- cleric/mage
Keldorn- tank, True Sight, Dispel, great personality, Jan annoys him
Korgan or Minsc
Jan- Thief, best dialogue, funny with Minsc
Jaheira- Druid spells, fighter

6th is your choice. Maybe Imoen or Edwin?

Another party:

You- sorceror
Keldorn- see above
Anomen or Viconia- one's a tank, the other is slightly better cleric-wise...
Jan and/or Imoen- need a thief

Your choice after that.

As you are a mage user (clelic) you will need a good tank. If you dodn't mind thet korgan is evil take him if you do i would recmend keldoron or why not both. well you need a thef so i would take jan and he soport you with som mage power. then i would chose betven having vironica (there are no clerlic like her) and massy (she rules with a shoet bow and is prity good in meel too.

In your first party Gaxx, would Korgan be talking a lot with the characters I have there?

Oh.. what would a good -- 4 -- person party be for a cleric/mage ?

Aranan - Cleric/Mage
Jaheira - Fighter/Druid
Jan - Illusionist/Thief
Korgan - Berserker
(Trade "That TOB Guy" for Korgan when/if I get there)

How's that sound?

Actually, Korgan doesn't have too many dialogues with those people, but I could be mistaken.

That 4 person party is fine.

That I know of? One amusing dialogue with Mazzy, and some with Aerie. Not sure of others. Minsc is great with Jan though. I would go with my first party recommendation, with Minsc instead of Korgan.
