Disk 2?

Post by Triskal »

Ok, I've gotten to the point in the game where I have to go back into the Mortuary. The game asks me to insert Disk #2. I only got one CD with the game. What's the deal?

you only got one cd? There are 4 cds for the game and you have to have all 4 to play the game. Might wanta ask wherever you got it about those others.

...unless they have the newer 2-disc CD version then #1 CD installed the game and #2 CD is the actual game...the 2-disc version also contains all patches...

...and it ran fine up until then...huh?

You can always try and clean out your cache, temp and override folders for the game. Maybe do a uninstall and reinstall...your saved games should be okay in the saved game folder.

Maybe someone else has some better ideas. I myself am just starting to get a feel for the game and still very much in the beginning. Looking like a winner so far.

You're confusing PS:T with BG2.

If you only have one disc, (This is with the two disc version) the game will not start without disc 2.

As debszelda said, Disc 1 is only used to load the game to your computer, to play the game you must have disc two.

Disclaimer, if this is a burn copy, destroy it and buy the game. You can get it and Soulbringer for $9.99.

Now I have no idea about the orignal version, it might had been a 4 disc game, and if this is what you have, 1. Someone sold you only one disc, return it for your money back. 2. Illegal Copy, destroy it.

Update on the problem

Sorry all :eek: , I should have mentioned that the version I bought is the 2-disc version (the one packaged with SoulBringer). Was in a rush when I posted. I've been playing the game with Disc 2 the entire time. At the point in the game I mentioned earlier, it looks like the game is searching for Disc #3, which of course I don't have. Any suggestions other than uninstalling/reinstalling? Thanks for the help so far, too :cool:

Open your ini.torment file (image posted below) with note pad and check to make sure the file says the right drive for the third disc.

Example,

CD1:=D:\CD1\
CD2:=D:\CD2\
CD3:=D:\CD2\
CD4:=D:\CD2\

I'd strongly suggest you call Interplay's tech support department. As you've purchased the game legitimately they should be willing to support you.
