In the UK when I was born: Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep by Middle of the Road was #1. A very sad day in british music history. i've never heard this song before, perhaps it's a dandy, and also a remake from the fifth century.
In the U.S., it was 'it's too late' by carole king.
I'm not very pleased with the number ones on my birthdate.

Phew, I was afraid this was an other happy birthday thread.
UK:
One Day In Your Life by
Michael Jackson
USA:
Bette Davis Eyes by
Kim Carnes
On a side note, my mother works at the newspaper and she looked up what was on the cover on my birthday. It was a picture of a cow sitting on his bottom with the title: "Cow is tired".
Also funny to know.
Guinness is good for you.
Gives you strength.

Here where the flattering and mendacious swarm

At last incapable of further harm

I'm looking forward to seeing Fable's.
Both Gwally and I had Elvis hits on ours.

I once saw a stripper in Baker Montana dance to "Teddy Bear" by Elvis, and I've never been able to listen to that song since...

The U.S. No.1 on the 27th March 1971 was... Me and Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin.
The U.K. No.1 on the 27th March 1971 was... Hot Love by T. Rex
The UK pop charts began in 1952 & the US in 1955 so I believe since Fable is older than time it's self his will not be listed.
