Modern Revolutionaries - MTP - STM

Post by Mr Sleep »

The UK features a man who by all accounts is a revolutionary, his name is Mark Thomas, he has a show on Channel 4 every wednesday called The Mark Thomas Product. His main focus seems to be fighting for the little guy against big business. He isn't just localised either he has ties all over the world for instance in his last show he was campaigning to stop the production of a dam in Turkey that would displace 15'000 people from their villages. I have watched him for a while now and am impressed with his efforts.

Do other countries have similar activists? Does anyone think they are effective, or are they anarchists causing uproar to line their own pockets?
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

Is Mark Thomas back on the box? Cool!

There is an American guy who has a show that C4 seems to put on when they have run out of MT's stuff (can't remember his name). I have seen it a few times, but he does not seem to have a political agenda, more along the lines of embarising business people and celebs for the entertainment value. Sort of like an over wieght Denis Penis, but not as good.

I've heard about this guy.
Didn't know what he did exacly, wasn't he the one who did that model coverstory as well? He found out all the managers took advantage of the young girls by promessing them all they want (career and all that) by going undercover as a modelcontest jurymember.

We could use one (or more) guys like that here too. To bad we don't have any. :(

the american bloke was Michael Moore (or something), and he did the utterly fantabulous mobile mosh pit (loads of people fenced in on the back of a lorry moshing) and tried to get the presidential candidates to get in it. :D

i've been a huge fan of the various mark thomas programs for the last three series, and the more people willing to do the same, the better

Of lying epitaths their secrets keep,
At last incapable of further harm
The lewd forefathers of the village sleep.
