Some humble suggestions
This is a nice personal touch by Aragon and I'm sure recipients of a virtual Birthday Greeting will be pleasantly surprised.
If only they can see it...
I have a suggestion or two regarding this little issue. Could we not fine-tune or tweak the vb-scripts such that birthday people on the calendar will automatically receive a greeting from us (Buck or the moderators will do nicely) and an invitation to visit the SYM forum?
I don't have the technical smarts to write such scripts, but I believe it can be done with very minimal adjustments to the present arrangement. Gaax brought up a good point that kind, helpful souls with technical knowledge such as Sabre, Craig and Sojourner to name a few will not often visit SYM, if at all.
Having an auto birthday alert will bring traffic to SYM and will also be an initiation of sorts for new members.
If that is achievable, we can even extend it to new members who register for the first time to receive auto Welcome Messages from us and some general advice as to how to make posts, eg read stickies, FORUM RULES (important after the Wraith thingy fiasco), and perform searches on past threads.
I would welcome any comments/ advice on this.
Thank you.
EDIT: BTW, Happy Birthday Sabre!

Thanks to Aragorn Returns for the thread, and to everyone for posting in it; and thanks to Baldursgate fan for telling me about this thread.
Sorry for not replying sooner; haven't visited the forum since Sunday night, too much school work at the moment. It's Friday now so I'll have time on the weekend to catch up with work and other things.
And yes, I do lurk in the SYM forum occassionally.

Happy Birthday, Sabre! Thanks for all the links and the help you have extended to me personally.
Somehow, I was wondering why you havent been made co-mod at the BG2 forums along with fable (since there is SoA and ToB).
Anyhoo, my best wishes and more mana to you.
