annoying starts

Post by Rudar Dimble »

Why do most computer RPG's have those annoying starts. Most of the times you have to get out of a dungeon (BG2, Planescape Torment). When I start playing a new RPG I NEVER finish that game (i think most player's don't). After starting the game for the 3rd or 4th time I am seriously finishing the game. But I always hate the start, because you have to do that annoying dungeon again! :mad:

This is the reason why I haven't finished Torment yet. I don't want to do that dungeon again.

Please convince me that a have to start a new game and this time make it to the end

How is the beginning of Torment a dungeon? You don't have to fight anybody except that one zombie with the key in the first room.

Now the beginning of Fallout 2 -- that is annoying!

@Dimble

I assume you have downloaded the latest patch ?

To solve the problem of the annoying starts, you can do a full install.

That should do it.

By the way, what Platter was referring to is the mortuary, not a dungeon :D

It's not that I don't like to kick some ass, but the thing is: it's always the same, always a dungeon, you have no weapons.

But I replayed Torment yesterday and the start is ok at second thought.

But start of BG2 is still annoying
