There's something wrong with the world

Post by Mr Flibble »

Hi all,

Has anyone else picked up on what's wrong with the TOB map?

It's been rotated around by 180 deg. from the actual campaign!

BG may only be based on the Forgotten Realms, but it strikes me as odd that this one map is so different when all the others have been reasonably accurate. I'm curious to know why the designers would deviate like this for the last one.

And yes, I have too much time on my hands. :D

Well I think its a nice map, so there!

There definatly IS something wrong with the world though, ever note how in the Soa intro it says Bhaal had a score of mortal offsrping? A score being twenty, or so im told and there like thirty of the little buggers in Saradush alone and thats not counting the ones you meet with on the road!
Horribly off topic, I apologize.

In the end movie of BG1 you see a great hall full of statues, each from a child of Bhaal. I guess there were over a hundred!

No, but you've been spamming up here and on the BG2/SoA forums. I've removed your other post, @Gnomethingy. I'd appreciate it if you'd stop. This forum isn't for spamming--take that down to the SYM (Speak Your Mind) forum.

What do you mean by the map has been rotated? It is just as it should be, Amn is south of Baldur's Gate.

Here's a map of the region of Faerun covered in the BG series. you'll notice towards the bottom of the map is Saradush, the Marching Mountains and the forests of Mir. Have a look at where they are in relation to each other compared with the TOB map, and you'll see what I mean.

Yes, I own this map.

I am too tired to go see the ingame map, but from memory it is just like the one from the Boxed set.
