movie crash when leaving Mortuary

Post by straye »

This a the very beginning of the game.

I just got PST and im at the exit of the mortuary. When i try to leave, either thru the portal or the main door, the game freezes and after a while it says sumthing like runtime error.
Ive got the patch installed and also tried the full install mentioned on the official torment website.

think its got to do wif the movies cos when copying CD2 to my harddrive, it fails at the file movies2.bif . says it not a msdos sumthing.

Can anybody pls help me. is there like a crack to skip the movies or sumthing. Or can sumbody send me a savegame after thats after you leave the mortuary.

Any help? THanks!

Have you checked the Torment Trouble-shooting page for a solution?
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

Sorry, don't know much about WinXP. :( Doesn't it come with some sort of Help system?

If it's an XP, I can't help. However, under '98, you just looked under Control Panel/System/Performance/File System, then chose the tab marked CD-ROM. Give that a try.
