I just recall some really weird scenes with a devil... and something about a unicorn? And of course, very young, long-haired Tom Cruise
@Weasel Days of Thunder
Another huh?!? ending - Vanilla Sky. And you thought it was a (slightly) clever psychological examination... No, actually it's some stupid sci-fi crap

My memory other than what I mentioned is hazy... but it all seemed rather silly IIRC.

It was silly, but atleast it wasnt 3 hours of nothing but uterly boring combat scenes and bombastic music.

IIRC correctly...The unicorn's horn was what kept Evil..(The Devil) from taking over the world. And Jack (AKA T Cruise) betrayed the unicorn for the love of a women.Originally posted by Dottie

Magnolia
The number 82 features prominently throughout the movie. Exodus 8:2 reads: "And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will strike all thy borders with frogs." But allegedly Paul Thomas Anderson actually wrote it before he found out about this link, and added in all the "82" references afterwards - so it doesn't mean that much. The references include:
Also, the movie contains several references to the Masons; the 82nd Mason lodge is located in Magnolia, Arkansas.
The title "Magnolia" not only refers to Magnolia Ave. in L.A., where much of the movie takes place, but was also the term Charles Fort (who is referenced many places in this movie) coined for a hypothetical region where things that fall from the sky come from.
