Oh, I'm touched--thanks, folks! I hadn't even realized how much time had passed. Why, when I first got here, we had a much more primitive forum. We used to have send carrier pigeons bearing our messages to Buck, who wrote them on a very, very large chalkboard.

Is there an upgrade to the process I'm not aware of. If so, let me know so the pigeons can once again become target practice instead of messengers. :p :rolleyes:

I'm must say I'm surprised it's only been a year. The way people carry on about your age, I figured you hit the century anniversary, not just one year. :p

Congrats.

I suppose it's only fair, if you're supplying the beer, that I bring along the togas. :dumps armfuls of stylish, colorfully embroidered Roman togas, some depicting orgiastic scenes that would have even Weasel and Waverly taking notes:

Image Image Happy Anniversary fable! Because of this, I’ve generously decided not to make any cracks about your age. Image
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

In honour of your milestone, I've written you a new spell from my apothecarists(sp).

Animate Thread (Necromancy)

Range: Search Engine-------- Area of Effect: SYM
Duration: Bumpfinite-----------Saving Throw: Not a prayer guv
Casting Time: Double Click

This spell allows the moderator to reassemble a thread from the jumbled bones or bodies of past threads on SYM. The spell re-animates those threads, breathing new life of a limited sort into otherwise dead or buried threads. The zombied threads stay alive until the moderator says so or the thread just wanders off. It cannot be dispelled. The moderator can control one thread per level of experience gained, up to a maximum of five.
