wise to start a brand new guy?

wise to start a brand new guy?

i starte one without importing, just started right out...beating the bhall spawn was hard w/o equipment cuz i was a mage, but now its goin well since i imported items....is this a good idea or should i go thru SOA all the way with him?

If you plan to solo, start without importing... otherwise you will reach the exp cap even before you get to ToB.. which does kill alot of the fun :(

Also you have a lot more fun fighting new monsters and other such nasties without the help from previous games...it makes for a much better feeling of accomplishment...maybe it is just me....

well after lookin and thinkin, i've decided i'm gonna start SOA with a multi kensai mage and play all the way through.

You can't have kits with multi-class characters. If you want a kensai/mage you'll have to dual-class.

Speaking for myself, I find items like the Ring of Gaxx, Robe of Vecna, and Staff of the Magi are just too handy (though cheesy) to pass up. Go through SoA.

those are the items to be desired yes...he should definitely go through it and get some choice items on the way....shadow armor comes to mind ;)

thx for the tip, and after lookin, I decided fighter/mage anyways so I can wear SOME armor..
