Cheese?

I'm walking around with several pieces of cheese at the moment (I'm in the Curst Prison at the moment btw) and now I'm wondering what use they have... Is there a point in the game that I really need them, or is this just some sort of easter egg the creators have put in the game?

And while we're talking about usefulness of certain objects, how about rags and that cobblestone you pulled out of the zombie Post near the Gathering Dust Bar?

Rags and cobblestone are useless. Poisoned cheese can be given to Mantuok, which kills him. Just get rid of your cheese.
