Using Tomes and Importing to BG2

If you cheat and make a bunch of tomes to raise your ability points, will you still be able to import your character into BG2 or does it check for stuff like that?

No the game does not check for incorrect stats when you import a character, however any tomes that raise your stats cannot make it to through BG2 after importing.

Bioware did not remove the tomes from the BG2 database, so once in BG2 you can also cheat to obtain them, just use the same code and it should work.
