Welcome back Ubik !
WOW ! Wafflefry on the rampage when Ubik is back !
Well, this is not an RPG but it's a great game worth buying. You should try out Blade of Darkness. Codemasters did an excellent job once againOriginally posted by Ubik
I just bought myself a new comp (actually I bought the pieces and assembled it myself) and it's a pretty fast sob. Athlon XP 1800+ 256 RAM, a 40MB ATA 133 HDD, a GeForce 2 (not MX) video card and lots of goodies - it took me several days to get it together, up and running.
I haven't bought any game the last couple of months (save Civ3) due to little free time, but now things are getting back to normal and I think I'd like to try a good RPG.
So, first thing to get: The Darkest Day expansion for BG2 (damned... no TOB support yet?) and then... what? What RPG have you (if) played lately?

I've just realized what Waverly is doing with his left hand in his avatar, and I must say I am impressed!![]()

Well you have to have completed the game and then they unlock, but it never worked for meOriginally posted by Demis
@Mr Sleep
I see that your favourite character is the Barbarian !!i like this guy.
I don't recall any cheat that gets you to have the Shark Sword at the beginning but the big sword cheat would do the jobif you want to have some fun.

Have you tried it with the Amazon. You would be amazed how easy this girl can mutilate any opponent. You should try it out if you haven't.![]()

Fabster, KoDp got some interesting things but I got bored of it easily due of certain factors in the gameOriginally posted by fable
Nice to see you back, @Ubik. We'd all wondered if you'd fully escaped. As for your question: I've had Wizardry 8 up and running. It's fun, but more of a dungeon crawl than a true CRPG. Gorasul has some good ideas, but its graphics are a cheap (and I mean, cheap) ripoff of BG2, and it lacks the kind of BG2 character interaction that was great. The translation also sucks, though I understand a new, improved
one is being worked on.
You could always take a glance at King of Dragon Pass. Fascinating RPG/Strategy hybrid, totally unlike anything I've seen since the old KOEI games: http://www.a-sharp.com/kodp/
Lots of good strategy games out there, but the next big CRPG titles will probably be NWN and Morrowind, this fall (unless you consider IWD 2 a CRPG, which I don't, though I like it well enough).
I only heard about it but i could never get it to work, i wonder if it is a US only thing....who knows?Originally posted by Demis

I don't like these kind of games either, but this one is somewhat different from any other action game, and i just love it.Originally posted by Ubik
Demis, interesting nick... Greek? And the game you are talking about is action? or Diablo-like? FYI I hate'em both

Still, you have to admit there's nothing like it on the market. Here's an old review I did of the game. It's short, given the limitations of the magazine page where it had to fit, but it gets across the essence of the game, I think:Originally posted by KidD01
