Well this is begining to bug me...but just a little. I recently installed the Nalia's Romance mod, and since then whenever Mazzy gets challenged by "Gorf the Squisher" he doesn't show up for the fight.
I don't know if this has anything to do with the mod or not...
Anybody have any ideas? Is there something I don't know that I need to do to get him to show up? (I did it sucessfully in my first game)
It's not a BIG deal, but I hate having unfinished business in my journal!

I've had this happen to me once - I only have ToB and some bug-fix patches installed. I forgot what I did to get Gorf appear.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Did you talk to Gorf the Squisher's girlfriend (don't initiate dialogue with her with Mazzy)? When you chose the dialogue option where you want her to call Gorf, he should show up.

I should have clarified that. She's the one (not Gorf) that's not showing up....

Perhaps it has something to do with the guy who stages the fights in the Copper Coronet (-whatshisname-). I remember Mazzy automatically initiating dialogue when she got near him and shouting at him that she wanted to get into the ring with Gorf, upon which this character replied that she'd better talk to Gorf's girlfriend. Perhaps if you killed the guy earlier on, you're stuck. Otherwise, I guess it's a bug.

Yup, that's how I remember it from my successful time. But Surly is alive and well. I guess it must just be one of those "oops" type bugs that happens every now and again.
I ran a whole new game (not this one, an evil group) just so I could see Ano-weenie fail his knighthood....and when we get there he starts whining about how we need to rescue G's child. Of course we had just DONE that.
Boy was I mad. Had that party kill him on the spot.

I think Mazzy has to finish her main quest before she can fight! As soon as the business with her sister was resolved...instead of her usual dialog she started up about the fight.
Here's hoping that's it.....
