Cursor Problems

Post by Der-draigen »

Hope this is the right forum to post this in...

While playing BG 1, my cursor leaves trails all over the screen. Mostly secondary screens, and the gray areas. It also moves painfully slow. This doesn't happen for BG 2 or any other games. I can't seem to find a fix in the config or gameplay/graphics options.

Help?....

Thanks :)

Do you have the latest patch and the newest drivers for your video card and DirectX?

I don't have the patch but as far as I know the drivers are set.

I played BG 1 last year and this didn't happen, it's only recently......

I agree with HLD. check out the latest patch and verify your video drivers are updated as well as directX.

Does this game latency happen even if you reboot the machine? How about if you cycle the power?

You could also try clearing the cache folder. Last resort, back up your saved games, remove bg and try a reinstall.

Listing the specs of your machine might help although if the game previous played well and you are having no troubles with bg2, it is probably one of the causes listed above.

good luck.

Do you have Tales of the Sword Coast installed?

I think that TotSC sorted this problem, try http://www.bioware.com for a patch to BG, that will hopefully help :)
