Have a character, want to change one of the special abilities I chose to a different one...When I try to do this with Shadowkeeper(remove one, then add another, then click mem+), it says that the character has already "reached the maximum number of spells memorizable for this level"
Annoyance!
How can I get around this?

Well, I do cheat sometimes. Have you tried increasing the maximum number of spells memorizable for that level? That might do it...

sorry buddy, ususally look in soa forum for most of my amusements...
Sabre is correct, you need to unlock the editor limits, the use limit boxes, be warned, I have seen some instability due to that, possibly due rather to a bad isntall or corrupted game file, but after deleting the game file the new game looked ok,
pathfinding seemed really slow, and off, and some of the quests in the beginning seemed to have off triggers...
what I do is when I create a char, I have precise items I want, and I add the innates at the beggining. if you lower the number of lesser heals, you should have enough for about 8 abilities, and since I am alread playing a over powerd char, I try for only a few abilites.
then if you plan on taking akensai and turn into sorceror, level up on the kensai using clua console, this works fine.
so is leveled up the kensai using the set current xp command, and took him up as kensai until I got what I wanted, then turned into sorc, and leveled that up using console commands. never had a spot of problem after that///
