magic golem ??

I have gotten elminsters book telling me that magic golems are only hurt by non-magical weapons. I can not seem to be able to hit it at all after i equipped regular swords including two handed sword +3 etc etc. The message "weapon innafective" still comes up and im dealing out 0 damage. any help?? thanks

A +3 sword is a magical weapon

You need normal weapons, which means weapons that do not have any "+" thing in the description.

If you don't have any normal weapons just get your warriors to hammer on them with their fists - they go down qucikly enough

In BG2, fists do "subdual" damage, as in you won't be able to get their hit points below 1. Check any monster loot or chests nearby.

if we are talking the magic golems in watchers keep surrounding the machine of lum the mad, then their should be a chest full of normal weapons of every kind for the pc in need just before the entrance into the magic golem section of the level. Quite nice of the programmers if you ask me.
