With the new boards, someone has taken the liberty of setting my profile to email me when I’m replied to. This is soooo not good! Not good at all. Just ask Mr. ‘goodie crashed my email’ Sleep. Problem is, the profile editor is not working and I can’t fix it.

well it was thus with all us other people also - fortunally I was quick to figure it out and quick to disable all that had with notification to do - so HA HA

@Waverly, reply to a post and you get the option below the box you type in to not receive email notification. This might help until you can get into your profile and unsuscribe to posts...

Even though you are not a COMM, I will help.

Goto your profile on the board..NOT at the top, but where you have posted. Click Send Waverly a Private Message. At the top of this page is the option to disable this stuff. Warning , once you submit, you have to got thru the same thing to get back there again.

After reading Wankerly's post, i checked my email.
Damn about 30 new emails.
Deleted it all and got things straigtened out.

To be more clear..

My vB Home Edit Profile Edit Options Edit Password Edit Buddy List Edit Ignore List Private Messages

Will be at the top of the PM, click Edit Options , then disable what you want. Now goto your e-mail account and at the bottom of the e-mail is a link to stop all the subscriptions.

Y's advice seems to have worked, the advice offered by the dolt COMM Weasel did not. I get a message saying that the board has malfunctioned when I try to change setting there.

I want to turn off signatures.

I want to turn off avatars (except for Viv's)

So my advice helped and you are turning off my avatar?

btw, you are not the only one having problems accessing your profile...I have heard of others...

1. Click on your profile below your name in the thread.
Not I repeat, not at the top where it says UserCP.

2.Click like you are going to send a message to your self.

3. Pick the option you want.

Now once you have picked your preferences, submit it.

I cannot access my pms.....I tried the aforementioned trick of pretending to send myself a message....this allows me to access my profile...but I still get the following message when I click on the pm link:

There seems to have been a slight problem with the GameBanshee Forums database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Please help.......
