What is required to change Sarevok to good alignment?

Greetings, I would like to know what is required to change Sarevok to good alignment? Do I have to make him swear an oath of loyalty in the first place? Do give me an answer. I let him join me without swearing any oath of loyalty at all..

First don't force him into an oath, then in successive random dialogues with him, tell him he deserves another chance, that good is the right path, blah blah. I think after the second dialogue he turns (if you give the right answers), but I never got that far.
