What's more profitable to do with demigorgon?

In terms of experience and loot, what's the best thing to do with demigorgon?

Kill it outright? Seal it the first time and then latter confront the knights? or not using the scroll and tricking the knights into entering the keep?
Also, can you loot the knights? and do they have any good weapon?

I think the best is to seal the first time, tell the knights to go down and take a look, so they get whats coming to them, and then go back and kill it.

with the latest eng patch from bioware, you get gold and silver ioun stones, the int increase is pathetic, but the wisdom increase is really nice for aerie or jaheira, or even viccy to give her moer spells.

It depends on your alignment.

If you're good, seal the portal with the scroll the avatar gives you.
If you're nuetral, kill demogorgon.
If you're evil, trick the knights.

The most profitable by far is the Nuetral path because you get the aforementioned ioun stones and more XP.

The Helmites are actually corrupt, so good characters can feel good about tricking them. Also, once you trick them you can then go and kill Demmy anyway.

I haven't heard anything about these Ioun Stones. I thought you got them from merchants in Amkethran or Saradush? Can you elaborate re how you get them off the Helmites? Are they just on the bodies when you kill Demogorgon?

You get the two Ioun Stones when you kill Demogorgon if you have the latest patch. (I guess he wears 1 ioun stone on each head.)
