I posted under the SoA forum in regards to what level is good to dual class from Kensai to Thief if I do not have ToB, yet. The answer came back level 9 or 13, but if I intended to get ToB some day to level to 21 with the Kensai and then switch.
Is this a viable strategy and does this mean I will be finishing SoA as a Kensai and starting ToB as a Thief? Or do I need to multiplay the Thief through SoA a second time?

Kensai/Thief Level Change?
Depending on how many NPC's you share exp with, you may end up spending most of ToB as a low level thief. You will not get any of the Kensai bonuses/abilities (except for the HP) until you earn another 2.5 million exp.
With single and multi-classes, ToB's "special abilities" show up when the PC or NPC has 3 million exp. TOTAL.
Apparently this is not so with duals: you get special abilities only when you reach 3 million in the second class. This makes sense, or your first level thief could go around setting spike traps.
So i question the idea of dualling so late in the game.
